President Cortizo: "Operation Panavac-19 is the largest in the history of the country"

The Community Work Tour (GTC) this Friday, led by the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen and the Vice President and Minister of the Presidency, José Gabriel Carrizo, took place in the province of Coclé with the delivery of benefits from programs of the government, such as housing, a school and support for producers, early childhood, students and entrepreneurs.

The benefits of the programs of 17 institutions delivered today in La Pintada reach an approximate investment of B / .3,096,649.00. The programs carried out are part of the Colmena Plan that seeks to lay the foundations to reduce poverty and inequality.

At the closing of the GTC in La Pintada, President Cortizo Cohen highlighted that Operation Panavac-19 against Covid-19 “is the largest air and naval operation in the history of the country. There has been no bigger or better and that is due to a disciplined team called Panama ”,

He specified that until last October 6, in 265 days of this operation, two drills have been carried out, 171 days of air and naval operations, 1,533 air missions; 114 maritime missions and 2,249 nautical miles.

The president reported that the country has reached 75% of the target population, aged 12 and over, with two doses of vaccines against Covid-19 and in particular congratulated the provinces of Coclé and Los Santos, both with 96% of their vaccinated target population, who lead Operation Panavac-19.
