The Ministry of Culture, (MiCultura) announces that the registration period is open until August 4 to participate in the seventh version of the 2021 Theater Festival where artists, groups, civil, cultural and state organizations will be featured.
The contest that is carried out through the National Directorate of the Arts will reward the best works in presentation of "face-to-face and virtual shows", "facilitators" and "dramatized readings".
The projects will be evaluated by a panel made up of a specialist from the National School of Theater of MiCultura; one from the School of Theater of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Panama and an independent theater director, creator, interpreter or producer.
The selected works will be announced on August 6 and the winners will receive financial recognition, according to what is stipulated in the contest rules. MiCultura will provide the theaters free of charge for the presentation of the works and all of the box office sales will correspond to the winning work.
The theater season will be from September 13 to October 1 at the Anita Villalaz, La Huaca theaters, at the ATLAPA Convention Center and in other spaces that will be announced soon.
