AIG bets on technology in the administration of the Covid-19 vaccine

The National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG) is committed to technology in the administration of the Covid-19 vaccine, for this it makes the Vaccumometer, an online technological platform that reports through a heat map distributed by geographical area, the vaccination process of each person to whom the Covid-19 vaccine is administered within the national territory.

In this way, through the website: www.panamasolidario.gob.pa, there is real-time information on the application of vaccines, data regarding the distribution of people by health regions, vaccination centers , province and districts; as well as the age and quantity of doses applied by sex.

The General Administrator of the AIG, Ing. Luis Oliva affirmed that Panama intends to be an international benchmark with a successful vaccination process against Covid-19, by digitizing all the information of the immunization campaign.

In this regard, one of its first actions has been to make the Covid-19 Vaccination Applicant Registration form available to the population through the website http://vacunas.panamasolidario.gob.pa.

To date, more than 370 thousand people have completed the form, an action that allows them to enter a database to manage the planning of the dose application, according to the four phases contemplated by the health authorities.

The new technological tool called Vaccumometer will play a fundamental role together with the Covid-19 Vaccination Applicant Registration platform, when from Phase 2 of this immunization process it is possible to advance to other sectors of the population.

The AIG is also in the process of developing the Covid-19 vaccine form so that foreigners residing in the country can complete their data. Those who have permission from the National Migration Service may register through their card, and people who have a passport will only have to attach a photo of it to validate their inThe Administrator of the AIG highlighted that within the vaccination process an agreement is being made available with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and other international entities for the development of a possible immune passport and international vaccination card.

In addition to these digital equipment, each citizen will be given a digital card to know the vaccination history, including the batch to which the vaccine belongs, the facility where it was vaccinated and the date of the second dose. An option will also be implemented in the ROSA virtual assistant, to complete the Covid-19 Vaccination Applicant Registration form.

The participation of the AIG has been fundamental in innovating in the creation of various technological tools in order to achieve a fluid and constant immunization process at the national level, during the development of the four phases of application of the vaccine against Covid-19 .

The National Authority for Government Innovation encourages all people to complete the Covid-19 Vaccination Applicant Registration form, regardless of the phase in which they are vaccinated. This action allows those interested in getting vaccinated to enter a database to manage the planning of the dose application, according to the four phases contemplated by the health authorities.
