AIG implements ROSA virtual platform for COVID-19 pandemic care

The ROSA virtual assistant (Automatic Health Operational Response) is a technological platform designed by professionals of the National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG), which has been enabled to answer the queries of citizens regarding the pandemic situation caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In just 72 hours of operation, it has answered about 10,000 queries. Of this total, 8,800 people have been attended via WhatsApp, 1,200 via telephone and 1% have been false calls, explained Eng. Luis Oliva, General Administrator of the AIG.

Among the benefits offered to citizens by this technological platform are direct, fast communication without waiting through WhatsApp, the most used social network; easy registration for medical care and no need to travel anywhere to receive care.

To contact the ROSA virtual assistant, you must enter the link https://rosa.innovacion.gob.pa, where a random number will be automatically assigned to start communication via WhatsApp . Immediately this platform will ask the citizen for his personal data such as name, identification number, address, an additional contact number and email.

Once this information is available, the citizen must answer a questionnaire whose answers will be Yes or No, to find out if he has presented fever, cough, difficulty for breathing or chest pain and if you have had contact with a suspected person infected with COVID-19. This information will be documented and depending on the answers and the level of priority, they will be sent to the virtual office, where the case will be evaluated and with the data collected, the citizen will be followed up and will know what measures to apply.

The AIG reiterates that every citizen has five consultation opportunities on the ROSA virtual platform, Therefore, it urges that its use be appropriate to guarantee expedited and agile care for those with health conditions.
