AIG and ANTAI digitize monthly transparency monitoring

Starting next January, the monthly transparency monitoring of the State entities' websites will be automated and will be available on the ANTAI Smart CID platform, with the purpose that the institutions and municipalities throughout the country comply more efficient with active transparency and open data public policy.

In a joint effort, the National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI) and the Authority for Government Innovation (AIG), digitized this monitoring that since 2017 was carried out manually, in which entities report the compliance with the legal provisions established in Law 6 of Transparency.

During the presentation of the platform, the General Director of ANTAI, Elsa Fernández pointed out that this platform constitutes an Open Government initiative, based on the use of technologies to promote access to information, bringing citizens closer to public management and promoting transparent, solid and efficient institutions.

"In the context of the pandemic, promoting the optimal use of information and communication technologies in the public sector is essential to strengthen democracies, economic reactivation and promote citizen participation in the Development Agenda," he stressed. .

For his part, Luis Del Vasto, Director of Information Sciences at the AIG, referred to the importance of automating processes and, in the case of open data, having a standard for transparency information, which will allow institutions to put all its effort in valuable data for innovation, social development and economic reactivation.

It should be noted that for August 2019 the levels of compliance with the monthly transparency monitoring were in 56% of institutions at 100% and 33% of compliance in the case of municipalities. At the last monitoring carried out in July 2021, we have 89% of entities at 100% and 85% for municipalities.
