More than 300 families approved the contribution of the Housing Solidarity Fund in January


In the first month of 2021, the Directorate for the Promotion of Private Investment of the Ministry of Housing and Territorial Planning (Miviot) closed with 317 resolutions of bonds of 10,000 balboas approved to beneficiaries of the Housing Solidarity Fund program.

The contribution, which will impact 317 families in different parts of the country when the entire process is completed, is made for a public investment amount of 3 million 177 thousand 925 balboas.

The report breaks down the amount issued by provinces, with Panama being the one with the largest number of beneficiaries (124), followed by Panama Oeste (123), Veraguas (23), Coclé (22) and Chiriquí (21).

It also points out that for this date 489 new resolutions were entered to evaluate, 360 letters promising payment were issued to the National Bank of Panama in the order of 3 million 609 thousand balboas and 357 payments were authorized to disburse in bonds of 10 thousand balboas for 3 million 578 thousand 925 balboas.

In addition, it specifies that 12 new projects of social interest were registered, which will represent 2,628 new homes for the provinces of Chiriquí, Coclé, Panamá, Panamá Oeste and Veraguas.

This same document points out that in that period the public-private investment of projects registered in the bond for approved houses is 184 million 25 thousand 700 balboas.

For this year, Miviot has scheduled the delivery of approximately 8,400 homes, with the support of the Housing Solidarity Fund, due to the increase from 5 to 7 million balboas per month.
