They benefit more than 1,300 people from Panama Oeste with houses and lot assignments


The National Government, through the Ministry of Housing and Territorial Planning (Miviot), delivered 394 social benefits for families of poverty and extreme poverty that live in different townships of the district of Arraiján, in the province of Panamá Oeste.

The support includes housing solutions for 236 families and certificates of assignments of lots ready to invoice for another 158, which totals a population of 1,379 people positively impacted.

The Community Work Tour, led by the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, accompanied by Minister Rogelio Paredes, began with a visit to the family of Milagro Del Carmen Aguilar, who lives in the Paraíso sector, in the Arraiján Cabecera district. , to grant you a home from the Social Residential Graduality Program (Progreso Plan).

Aguilar, 27, was favored along with her husband Israel Núñez, 31 years old and her daughter Cristyn Núñez, 3 years old, who subsist on 600 balboas a month from the jobs that the adult performs independently.

The family, where the girl has health problems, lives in a residence with her mother in a makeshift warehouse, built of concrete, in addition the room they occupied is under a slab of the house, with many leaks that affect their daughter for its condition.

The Progreso Plan house, equipped and furnished in an inter-institutional strategy through the Transforming Lives Plan, measures 47.15 square meters and has two bedrooms, a living-dining room, a kitchen, a hygienic bathroom and a laundry room.
