Savings Bank and MIDA establish an agreement of B /. 50 million to support the Panama Solidario Plan


An agreement for 50 million balboas to support the Panama Solidario Plan was established through a signature between the authorities of the Savings Bank and the Ministry of Agricultural Development (MIDA).

The inter-institutional agreement that was agreed upon will positively impact producers throughout the country and suppliers of the Agricultural Marketing Institute (IMA), through access to the timely cancellation of input delivery invoices for the Panama Solidario Plan, which will provide them with the Necessary liquidity to continue with its operational cycle contributing to this national food emergency program.

According to the Minister of MIDA, Augusto Valderrama, these contributions will also serve to support coffee producers in the districts of Río Sereno and Barú, and those who are dedicated to planting vegetables such as potatoes and onions in the province of Chiriquí. "With this we are going to work on crop inspections, technical advice and support," he added.

The head of the agricultural portfolio thanked the samples of support, the effort that has been made as a country to move forward and now with what has been agreed with the entity, it encourages and moves them to continue fighting for the solidarity they have had for agriculture Panamanian.
