Covid-19 digital certificate is the result of an articulated work

The approval by the European Union (EU) of Panama's Covid-19 digital certificate is the result of an articulated and inter-institutional work between the Ministry of Health (Minsa), the Government Innovation Authority (AIG), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other institutions, which responds to a policy of the National Government regarding transparency and technology in the management of the pandemic.

For several months, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) provided the inputs to the Government Innovation Authority (AIG) for Panama to develop a high-end tool that meets the requirements of the EU, such as the QR, which has characteristics as information protection, confidentiality and the impossibility of being cloned.

As is already public knowledge, with this step Panama becomes the first country in the region to have a first-world tool approved by the EU, thanks to an exhaustive review process that allowed validating the Digital Covid Vaccination Certificate -19 Panamanian.

Thanks to this step, any person who has a vaccination certificate with a complete scheme issued by the Government Innovation Authority (AIG), will be able to present it if they travel to member countries of the European Union.
