The First Lady's Office delivers Special Wheelchairs, Hearing Aids and Special Bathroom Chair


Through the Directorate of Social Projection of the Office of the First Lady, it was possible to help seven patients with the delivery of 4 special wheelchairs, 2 hearing aids and a special chair for the bathroom that will help improve their health conditions.

Patients benefiting from special wheelchairs and bathroom facilities present conditions such as cerebral palsy, epilepsy, spinal cord injuries, multiple trauma, tuberous sclerosis, and seizure syndrome. While, the two patients who received the hearing aids, suffer from hearing loss, which is the loss of hearing.

"For the Office of the First Lady it is a priority to bring help to Panamanians who need it most, no matter where they are. Our team works unstoppably, responding to requests and looking for resources to provide solutions. Special wheelchairs and The hearing aids that we deliver today will improve the quality of life of these patients and their families, allowing them to cope with their conditions in a comfortable and stable way. For me and my entire team it is a great satisfaction to contribute our bit ", added Yazmín Colón de Cortizo , First Lady of the Republic.

The total amount of this donation amounts to B / .16,229.76. The formal delivery was held at the Club House of the Parque Recreativo y Cultural Omar.

Dr. Dora Jara, Director of Social Projection of the Office of the First Lady, expressed her satisfaction and said that "with this delivery it is possible to positively impact the lives of these seven patients and their families. We work as a team to provide answers to the cases that we receive as soon as possible and thus prevent the patient's health from being affected. We have a technical team that evaluates the requests and looks for the appropriate solutions for each of the beneficiaries. "
