DGI will carry out verification of compliance with tax regulations


During the month of October of this year, the General Directorate of Revenues (DGI), of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), will carry out operations to verify compliance with tax regulations at the national level.

During the days of fiscal presence, compliance with the law in terms of billing, fiscal teams with their devices, the demand for the invoice by consumers and the obligation of the establishment to deliver it will be verified.

The DGI will check the use of the control and maintenance book, the possession of the fiscal team to record sales operations and have the “Ask for your Invoice” sign in a visible place with the measures required by law.

Similarly, it will monitor the achievement of Executive Decree No. 770 of December 30, 2020, which establishes the obligation, since June 1, 2021, of the updates and installations of the Communication Device (DC) or the Data Transmission Component (CTD) in fiscal machines.

Failure to comply with these obligations establishes fines for users of fiscal equipment of B /. 1,000 to B /. 5,000, for the first time, and of B /. 5,000 to B /. 15,000, in case of recidivism.

The inspection staff, duly identified with a vest and institutional card, will adhere stickers of compliance or tax non-compliance, to the commercial establishments according to the results of the verification operation.

Similarly, the entity is empowered to draw up minutes, which could initiate processes and include penalties for violation of tax regulations. The DGI will remain vigilant to avoid tax evasion.
