The Humanitarian Hub mobilized more than 2,000 tons of humanitarian aid.


The Humanitarian Hub, in the last 24 months, mobilized a total of 2,266 tons of humanitarian aid, with a value of 40.3 million USD to 44 countries in Latin America. Of these, 872.6 tons with an amount of B /. 26.6 million was allocated to the fight against Covid-19.

In the last two years, the Regional Logistics Center for Humanitarian Assistance (CLRAH) through the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) provided assistance to thousands of Panamanians affected by different circumstances, said Alberto Sierra, director of the entity.

He stressed that, with this joint work with Sinaproc, it was possible to expedite the aid to thousands of affected throughout the national geography and especially, to the more than 4 thousand affected last November by the passage of hurricanes Eta and Iota.

Likewise, thanks to the facilities provided by the facilities of its international users, it functioned as a collection point for the “Panama Solidarity Plan” for the storage of supplies related to basic health security “kits”.

Sierra highlighted that the volume of humanitarian cargo handled by international users increased 147% compared to the mobilization of humanitarian cargo carried out in 2019.
