New Panama Solidarity Plan begins

As of this July 1, the New Panama Solidarity Plan came into force that will allow the beneficiaries of the Digital Voucher to continue receiving the monthly economic benefit of $ 120 until December 2021.

The National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG) reports that just twelve hours after starting this new plan, a total of 134 thousand 885 beneficiaries were registered, of which 82% chose to take virtual training courses, 7 % selected to carry out Community Social Service and 11% correspond to citizens exempt from executing these requirements.

To receive the Digital Voucher, beneficiaries must complete 24 hours of community social service monthly or receive a 10-hour training at the National Institute of Professional Training and Training for Human Development (INADEH).

Among the objectives of the New Panama Solidario Plan are to mitigate that, as a consequence of the pandemic, poverty and inequality increase; facilitate the economic recovery process, encourage the improvement of the beneficiaries with training opportunities, encourage the participation of people in solving the problems of their communities and preserve social peace.

Each beneficiary has until July 31 to register by entering the website www.panamasolidario.gob.pa, Vale Digital section, where they must update their data and select whether they wish to do community social service or receive training at INADEH.
