Within the framework of the celebration of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Panama from Spain, Banco Nacional de Panama invites Panamanian talent to participate in the Banconal 2021 Art Contests. On this occasion, the theme will be highlighted as a concept to develop: 200 Years Visualizing Our Identity.
"This year the First Writing Contest, called Jorge Conte Porras, is added to the categories known to all, in order to promote the development of the literary poetic narrative, which transmits emotions through writing," said Aura Elena Ferrer , Executive Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility of Banco Nacional de Panamá.
As in previous years, this call is aimed at Panamanian talent, novice, inexperienced and who has not participated with their work in another national or international competition. Dates to schedule:
Call deadline: Tuesday, August 31.
National team (all categories): September 3, 2021.
Awards: October 2021.
Collective Exhibition (Banconal House Museum): November 2021.
The participating works in the categories: Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Video and Writing, will be received until 3:00 p.m. of August 31, 2021 at the following points: Banconal House Museum (between Ave. Cuba and Justo Arosemena, Calle 34), Depto. of Social Responsibility (8th floor, Headquarters) or at the Banco Nacional branch of your choice throughout the country.
The select jury will evaluate: originality, artistic quality, mastery of the subject and conceptual contribution, among other points. It should be noted that parallel to this call, workshops and talks will be held to redefine, rethink and discuss OUR IDENTITY with culture and art professionals.
