Health on Wheels Day arrives in the San Carlos District

Health on Wheels Day arrives in the San Carlos District

On Monday, June 21 and Tuesday, June 22, the Social Projection Directorate of the Office of the First Lady moved the "Salud Sobre Ruedas" program to the district of San Carlos in the province of Panamá Oeste.

Through its mobile clinic system, the program serves patients of various ages in the community or area that is visited.

During the day, the medical staff performed mammography examinations on patients who were previously cited by the Community Board and the San Carlos Health Center. In total, 24 exams were performed.

Dora Jara, Director of Social Projection of the Office of the First Lady expressed that: "these conferences are extremely important. Every time we do them, we give more women the opportunity to undergo an examination as essential as mammography. Of this way, we can detect any anomalies that arise and then provide them with the necessary attention. "

In the coming days, the clinics will arrive at the Santa Rosa district in Capira, to perform general examinations, ultrasounds, mammograms and Pap tests.
