The global alliance against tech crime is the barrier to illicit trade


The legislative power of each country to create laws to ensure its sovereignty, but with the same standards, was deepened at the culmination of the Parliamentary Forum on Intelligence and Security. organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (PARLATINO).

 

For the second consecutive day, this meeting of deputies, experts on the subject, was held, who exchanged plans aimed at proposing measures in the cyber area.

 

The first panel of experts was made up of Mr. Jc Boggs, Patrick Campos, Seth Hetlein and as a panelist Mr. Jackson Mueller, who discussed illicit finance, security and integrity of the markets, cryptocurrencies, which allow safer payments and fast, digital transactions, transfer and privacy, among other things.

 

Each country has different thoughts and opinions, the panelists expressed and they agreed that each one should create policies that help regulate security laws, however, with the same standards in each state.

 

The second panel of experts were Sarah Paquet, Joseph Humire, Celina Realuyo, these experts delved into issues of illicit trafficking, money laundering, international connections and corruption.

 

The Qatari ambassador to Panama, Saad Al Jafali Al Noaimi, said that his region has a challenge in the Middle East with all the existing civil wars, however, technology has been adopted whose practice has generated policies in the direction of improving that scourge.

 

Likewise, he added, they contribute to reducing illegal traffic, and that, in addition, new regulations have been created in the management of social networks, in money laundering, as well as a committee that has identified 28 individuals who cooperate. against terrorist financing.

 

In the end, they concluded that the most important thing is international cooperation to improve the region through alliances to achieve the goal of a safer country.
