The DGI initiates voluntary registration of the electronic invoice and adjustments to the fiscal machines


The General Directorate of Revenue (DGI) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (DGI), advances in the process of homologation of the new adjustments that fiscal teams must comply with as of June 1, 2021, in order to transmit the data through the communication platform for tax teams.

The new adjustments will allow the DGI to improve the efficiency in the inspection and collection of taxes, and will allow the users of this equipment, new functionalities to access a comprehensive technical support from the distributors, to prevent damage or failures in the operations that affect the operation of the businesses.

Similarly, on June 1, the tax administration will enable an online application for all companies interested in starting the certification process for Qualified Authorized Providers (PAC), as well as online service for taxpayers through the e-Tax 2.0 system, who wish to voluntarily migrate towards electronic invoicing as their only authorized mechanism for invoicing.

Likewise, from that date, for professionals or independent, entrepreneurs, micro and small companies, the tax administration will be facilitating their inclusion through a free electronic invoice application, which can be operated from any computer, tablets or mobile device.
