Student leaders analyze the impact of the ESTER platform

More than 78 thousand users enrolled in ESTER, between students and teachers.
Student leaders from various educational regions of the country met in order to analyze the impact and benefits of the ESTER educational platform, as well as to identify collaboration strategies that generate synergy between new students and this technological tool.

The activity, which brought together a group of students in person and another virtually, was coordinated by the National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG) and the Ministry of Education (MEDUCA), and became a space for dialogue for students to learn in a real environment, the use and management of this technological platform.

For the student Kevin Barbato, who is in the twelfth grade at the Richard Neumann School, the creation of the ESTER platform has been fundamental for the academic training of students, which is why he urged the authorities to guarantee learning spaces to close the inequality gap in the country.

The students began the 2021 school year under the virtual modality through the ESTER platform, an asynchronous tool that complements the distance study of the student population in Panama and has created learning objects (OVA), for Spanish subjects, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology / natural sciences.

This year, the ESTER platform is available to all teachers of general basic, pre-secondary and secondary education. To date, more than 78 thousand users are enrolled in ESTER, between students and teachers.

AIG and MEDUCA authorities urge teachers nationwide to enter http://ester.meduca.edu.pa to take a techno-pedagogy course, with the aim of learning to work on the ESTER platform. In this space they will have a test room to apply the knowledge acquired.
