More than 23,900 teachers vaccinated against Covid-19


The Vaccination Program run by the National Government has managed to inoculate the drug against Covid-19 to 23,928 teachers from 46,777 of the 16 educational regions throughout the country, representing more than 50% of the entire sample.

These data arise from a statistical report from the Government Innovation Authority (AIG), in which the largest number of injected educators are reported between the Central Panama and East Panama regions with 11,313, followed by West Panama with another 5,811.

While, the San Miguelito school area reports 2,860; Panama Norte has 1,584 teachers and Colón with 348, which closes the figures of the first five educational regions, in terms of vaccination.

Regarding the regional education regions, the Ngäbe Buglé registers 460 vaccinated, the Guna Yala with 247 injected educators and the Emberá Wounaan that adds 37.

This statistical report of the AIG is corresponding to last April 30 and the cut of figures that is made weekly.
