Plenary Table approves by consensus to continue with the DNC

During an extraordinary session, the representatives that make up the Plenary Table for the National Dialogue for the Social Security Fund (DNC), approved by consensus to continue with the dialogue, after the departure of the Dialogue Table of the representatives of the National Council of Workers Organized (CONATO) and the Panameñista Party.

This consensus was approved by the Plenary Table with 20 votes in favor, 0 against and 0 abstentions, after an analysis and evaluation of the decisions announced by these two unions participating in the National Dialogue.

"The National Dialogue for the Social Security Fund continues to be carried out through the Plenary Table, plus the four Thematic Commissions, which have a term to be able to propose to the national community, an alternative that provides a solution to the situations that the institution has and that the Panamanian people have the assurance that all the services that this noble health entity of the country offers to the community, whether contributors or insured, will be maintained ", informed Professor Joaquín Villar, facilitator of the Plenary Table.

He added that the mission they have adopted is that the dialogue cannot stop because the Social Security Fund cannot wait for a solution to the problem of the four programs that are being evaluated by the different commissions.

For his part, the general director of the Social Security Fund (CSS), Dr. Enrique Lau Cortés, said that the doors are open and invited the unions that withdrew from the Table, to reconsider and join together to find a solution and alternative to the National Dialogue by the Social Security Fund.

«It is unfortunate that this group of organized workers who are a fundamental part of productive life, have decided not to continue participating in the dialogue, they are part of the Board of Directors of the Fund, they participated in the decisions that were made in the Fund , so we regret this departure ", said Dr. Lau Cortés.

He mentioned that CONATO is very important, therefore he stressed that the doors are not closed, on the contrary, they will make the best effort, insisting and seeking measures of understanding, so that at the end of the road, the country wins.

«The dialogue continues and we believe that the dialogue has to be open, balanced, without preconditions, without impositions from any sector, in such a way that the feeling of all the interest groups is the direction that the institution is going to do. »He emphasized
