Mici attends more than 25 thousand export procedures in the last year


Through digital certifications, online payments and automation of processes in the Foreign Trade Single Window (VUCE), the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI) has reinforced the services it offers to its users, who have performed more than 25 One thousand procedures during the last year, highlighted this Friday Marianela Gómez, General Director of Exporter Services of the institution.

 

To these services are added specialized advice, free training, the special attention line (Saturday and Sunday) during the harvest period and support during the various phases of its commercial development, he explained.

 

According to a latest report from the Directorate, 12,758 procedures have been carried out on the digital platform and 13,340 in person, from April 2020 to date, including the approval of certificates, the Declaration of Commercial Movement (DMC) and the Central American Single Declaration (DUCA-F).

 

As part of the MICI's efforts to boost the efficiency of the sector, an agreement was signed in this same period with the Technological University of Panama (UTP), in order to develop the first Diploma in Foreign Trade, Gómez reiterated.

 

He added that the institution is currently promoting projects for exporters and entrepreneurs such as Mujer Emprendexport 2.0., EKOBOOTCAMP 2.0. and trainings that contribute to the competitiveness of the sector, and whose calls are announced monthly on the MICI platforms.
