MIDES will remodel Residencial Los años Dorados for the elderly and will reinforce early childhood care in the capital city

The Minister of Social Development, María Inés Castillo and the mayor of the Panama district, José Luís Fábrega, signed today a cooperation agreement that will allow cooperative actions in favor of early childhood and older adults through programs that improve their quality of life and promote their social development.

The agreement will allow the remodeling of the Residencial Los años Dorados for the elderly, located in the town of Pacora, which will double its capacity from 56 to 126 people.

The renovations include improvements to the walls, floors, ceilings, bathrooms and the installation of security aids and all the furniture that they require for remodeling.

These are two service areas, one for women and the other for men with capacity for 70 people.

In addition, a high-quality pilot plan will be established aimed at strengthening the services provided to adults.
