MITRADEL officially launches IPEL Awards 2021. With the slogan "The Bicentennial of the Republic, a 200-year journey in the Construction of Our Nation"


The Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (MITRADEL), through Minister Doris Zapata Acevedo, was held this Thursday, February 25, the official launch of the forty-first version of the National Competition IPEL Awards for Labor Culture 2021, which has as slogan "The Bicentennial of the Republic, a Journey of 200 years in the Construction of Our Nation".

During the launch, the Minister of Labor urged Panamanian workers to join and present their talented works, consolidating our cultural and national identity within the framework of the celebration of the 200 years of independence of our Republic, Panama.

With this version No. 41 of the IPEL awards, we seek to encourage our workers in the public sector, social organizations, unionized, non-unionized and private companies, to represent this journey in pieces of art for our annual labor culture contest, promoting thus the curiosity for our independence feat, promote research and commemorate together with the National Government the celebration of this historic event.

It should be noted that the IPEL Awards, is the only contest that enhances the expression of culture and art from a work perspective and includes 7 categories such as: Crafts, Sculpture, Painting, Short Story, Decima, Poetry and Photography.

The participating works will be received from February 25 to June 18 of this year, in addition, all the regional offices of the institution will be available at the national level to receive the physical works (sculpture, crafts and painting).

It is important to note that for the second consecutive year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MITRADEL maintains a digital platform for the delivery of works in the categories of poetry, tenth, short story and photography.
