New companies under the free zone regime will invest more than 2.3 million


The National Commission of Free Zones approved this Friday to grant the companies Verdan Switzerland Corp. and VG Logistics, Inc., their licenses to operate within the free zones of Chilibre and Panapark, respectively; which will inject into the country investments that reach $ 2,355,585.00, from Switzerland and Argentina, reported the General Director of Free Zones of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI), Ámbar Ruiz Chaperón.

 

With the incorporation of these two companies into the regime, there are already 127 companies established in the 21 free zones that remain approved at the national level.

 

“It is positive that new companies see in Panama, but especially in our Law 32 Free Zone Regime, an opportunity for growth and generate not only investments but stable and better-paid jobs in highly vulnerable areas, such as Chilibre and Felipillo, at the same time. time that we are penetrating in the awareness of inclusion, since both companies have been willing to hire people with disabilities, if we as the Government give them support for proper insertion, "he said.
