For her part, Dr. Mali Alzamora, national coordinator of Family Medicine, indicated that through the Cardiometabolic Clinics the aim is to prevent, in the general population, the advance in the deterioration of organs such as the kidneys, heart and avoid as much as possible , heart attacks and strokes.

Dr. Alzamora stated that initially and as part of the pilot plan, it will start with two (2) of these health units, which will be located at the San Juan de Dios Polyclinic in Natá, Coclé province and the “Dr . Carlos N. Brin ”in San Francisco, province of Panama.
