Panama received 375,570 vaccines from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer.


The thirty-fourth batch with 375, 570 vaccines from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer arrived this Tuesday at the Cargo Terminal of the Tocumen International Airport, to reinforce the actions of the National Government through Operation PanavaC-19 in the days of immunization against the Covid-19 at the national level.

 

This new batch was received, on behalf of the National Government, by the regional director of Health of San Miguelito, Yaritzel Ríos, and will be used to advance the vaccination process through the sweeping strategy aimed at people over 12 years of age with the application of first dose in circuits 12-1 (Ngäbe Buglé region) and 8-9 (North Panama).

 

At the same time, they will be used for the application of second doses in circuits 2-1 (Penonomé), 4-1 (David), 6-2 (Los Pozos, Parita, Pesé), 6-3 (Las Minas, Ocú, Santa María), 8-2 (Capira), 8-3 (Chame, San Carlos), 9-2 (La Meza, Las Palmas, Soná), 9-4 (Atalaya, Montijo, Mariato Río de Jesús) and 8- 7 and 8-8 (Panama).

 

The National Government reiterates that every vaccinated person must continue with biosafety measures, such as the mandatory use of a mask, use a face shield in public transport, constant hand washing and avoid crowds.

 

In addition, it reminds the public that, if they present symptoms related to the virus, they should immediately seek medical attention and take a Covid-19 test.
