Panama and Colombia sign memorandum of understanding to strengthen the competitiveness of students

- This alliance will make it possible to strengthen skills and competences, favoring the increase of employability and entrepreneurship, in times where innovation and creativity under a technological approach represent a significant and transformative value for society.


.The National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG) and the National Learning Service (SENA) of Colombia signed a memorandum of understanding that will allow both entities to consolidate efforts and strategies to promote, promote and improve the quality of the competitiveness of the human talent of both countries.


The alliance established in Cúcuta, Colombia, was signed by Eng. Luis Oliva, Administrator of the AIG on behalf of the Government of Panama and by Dr. Carlos Estrada Molina, Director General of SENA, on behalf of the Government of Colombia.

Eng. Luis Oliva, Administrator of the AIG stressed that, “it is important to achieve this Memorandum of Understanding since it will help Panamanian families that were left vulnerable after the Covid, where through technological platforms we are going to give them content so that start new businesses ”.

Meanwhile, Dr. Carlos Estrada Molina, General Director of SENA, endorsed the alliance with the AIG, “because it materializes the dreams of professionalization of 3,000 children in the region, allowing them to find the helping hand in the State that allows them to fulfill that objective. ”.

In the first phase of this memorandum, it will be possible to share experiences and good practices in disruptive teaching-learning models, which will strengthen the complementary training of Panamanians in courses focused on Orange Economy, Fourth Industrial Revolution and Agro.

The formal ceremony was attended by the President of Colombia, Iván Duque as guest of honor and other authorities, including the Ambassador of Panama in Colombia, Dr. Liliana Fernández Puentes and the Minister of National Education of Colombia, Dr. María Victoria Angle.
