President confirms that this Monday the vaccine committee will decide the first dose against Covid-19 for people with illnesses


The National Vaccination Plan (Panavac) unanimously approved this Thursday, to include 25 thousand patients with chronic diseases in stage 2 A of the Continuous Vaccination Plan Panavac-19 that begins on Monday, April 5 in circuit 8-6.

 

The residents of this circuit, which includes the townships of Amelia Denis de Icaza, Belisario Porras, José Domingo Espinar, Mateo Iturralde, Victoriano Lorenzo, Belisario Frías, Omar Torrijos, Arnulfo Arias Madrid and Rufina Alfaro, over 60 years old, will receive the second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine within stage 2 A of the vaccination program, while those for chronic diseases will receive their first dose.

 

The Government Innovation Authority (AIG) has registered in its database the 25 thousand people from the 8-6 circuit that would correspond to the application of this first dose as well as has detailed the amount by type of disease: hypertension, diabetes, obesity, cancer and kidney failure and HIV to expedite the vaccination process. The AIG has this registry for all electoral circuits.

 

The President of the Republic Laurentino Cortizo Cohen reported during a tour in Chiriquí that this Monday the vaccine committee would be approving the inclusion of people with chronic diseases in the vaccination process that would begin in San Miguelito on April 5.
