President Cortizo Cohen warns slight increase in positivity of Covid-19 cases

Orders are given to proceed to build two highways in Capira and support to entrepreneurs, among other works.

During the Community Work Tour (GTC) in West Panama, the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, reiterated the call to the population to "not lower their guard" against Covid-19, since it has been registered in the last weeks a slight increase in the percentage of positivity.

Cortizo Cohen specified that the percentage of positivity was 3.5%, but in recent days percentages of 6% have been registered, so he insisted that the population not relax before the virus that he described as "treacherous."

He urged the authorities of the Central Government, Local Governments, Technical Boards and civil society to continue working as a team to advance in the control of the pandemic and other problems in the country. "That team is invincible and so we have to continue," he stressed.

He stated that this is not the time to be thinking about the next elections, but rather to go the extra mile.
