President Cortizo Cohen received the players of the national soccer team

The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, received the national soccer team in the Yellow Room of the Palace, which will soon participate in the Gold Cup and in the Concacaf octagonal for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

“I want to congratulate you for all the effort made, because wearing the shirt with the Panama flag requires discipline; you represent us with pride ”, expressed Cortizo Cohen, during the ceremony held this Friday.

Cortizo Cohen urged the players of the national soccer team to prepare physically and mentally to face the next regional challenges with enough mental strength and that nothing distract them in their mission to qualify Panama for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

At the meeting, the president asked the players to have faith, because the road is long, and to be aware of their teammates: "Ask for health, strength and humility to achieve your goals," he told them.

Harold Cummings, captain of the national team, presented the team's jersey to President Cortizo Cohen, who said he was proud "because every time they go out onto the pitch, they show that they are warriors."

Cortizo Cohen accompanied the players on a tour of the Palacio de las Garzas and took a photo with them and the coaching staff led by director Thomas Christiansen

The director of Pandeportes Héctor Brands also participated in the event.
