President Cortizo participates in the ceremony to change the director of the National Police.

President Cortizo Cohen urged the members of the National Police to maintain as a principle the virtues of a vocation to service, teamwork, discipline and mysticism. "Let us honor the uniform as a symbol of our value and commitment to the Homeland"


The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, during the change of command ceremony of the General Directorate of the National Police, which will be led by Commissioner John Omar Dornheim Castillo, urged the members of the institution to work as a team, with discipline and mysticism.

 

Commissioner Dornheim Castillo, with 27 years of service in the institution, received the command flag of the National Police from the hands of Juan Manuel Pino Forero, Minister of Public Security, in the presence of President Cortizo Cohen, head of the Public Force.

 

The delivery of the command flag marks an important event in the National Police, puts an end to the fulfillment of a mission and is the genesis of a new commitment to face, and symbolizes the responsibility of each of the public security institutions.

 

The president recognized the hard work of the men and women of honor who make up the police force, for their effort and commitment in the performance of their duty, especially in these difficult times when tasks require giving the "extra mile."

 

Cortizo Cohen exhorted the members of the police entity to maintain as a northern principle the virtues of the vocation to service, teamwork, discipline, and mysticism. "Let us honor the uniform as a symbol of our value and commitment to the Homeland," he said.
