President delivers orders to proceed for B / 11.7 million for works in the district of San Miguelito.

The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, led a Community Work Tour in the populous district of San Miguelito, in which he delivered orders to proceed to execute works for B / .11.7 million, and also granted aid from different social programs executed by the National Government as part of the Colmena Plan, aimed at combating poverty and inequality.

As part of the Recovering My Neighborhood program, the National Council for Sustainable Development (Conades), delivered two orders to proceed to the Indeco consortium, one for the rehabilitation, maintenance and improvements of eight multi-family housing towers in the Paraíso sector, located in the township of Mateo Iturralde, for the sum of B / .2,337,534.00; and another for the rehabilitation, maintenance and improvements of seven multi-family homes in Villa Guadalupe, for B / .2,381,314.00.

The order was also given to proceed for the rehabilitation, maintenance and improvements of two complexes of multifamily buildings in the Los Abanicos sector, in the José Domingo Espinar district, for B / .1,148,307.00.

Conades delivered the order to proceed to the Sergom consortium for the study, design, construction and equipment of the Bernardo “Candela” Gil football stadium, with its administrative offices and high-performance gymnasium, for an amount of B / .2,097,135.00.

The company Direction of Works, S.A. received the order to proceed with the study, design, construction and rehabilitation of the sports facilities and existing infrastructure in the Orlando Winter Gymnasium, for B / .3,175,7775.00.

The rescue of these sports facilities is part of the Plan of Action of President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen.

The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) granted the order to proceed to the company Cardoze y Lindo, S.A .; for the rental of heavy equipment for 9,010 hours, for an amount of B / .612,040.00, for the improvement of the road network in San Miguelito. The works that will strengthen the road maintenance work carried out by the MOP in the district will generate direct and indirect jobs.
