Literacy Program "Muévete por Panamá" of MIDES La Chorrera provides incentives to volunteers

Volunteers from the Literacy Program "Muévete por Panamá" of the Ministry of Social Development (MIDES) La Chorrera received an incentive for the altruistic work of teaching reading and writing to people who did not have the opportunity to become literate.

 

Dalis Labrador, coordinator of this program, said that the volunteer work is greatly appreciated as they donate their time and space to help other people meet their reading and writing goals.

 

“Not knowing how to read or write is unfair, since something happened to these people who couldn't go to school. The truth is that it is wonderful to teach a person who does not know how to read and write, ”said volunteer Tatiana Córdoba.
