Flu shots are available at health facilities

The Metropolitan Health Region to protect the population against influenza reports that to date, a total of 48,769 doses have been applied in 19 health centers and 5 polyclinics.

Doses against influenza are applied to priority groups consisting of people over 60 years of age, pregnant women, children under 5 years of age, and patients with chronic diseases.

Likewise, if people come to apply their dose against influenza in the different centers and it is not in the priority group, it will not be denied to apply it.

It is important that when going to the health facilities, the patients to be inoculated present the vaccination card and the personal identity card of the adult or the youth card.

The Ministry of Health reminds the population that vaccines are one more prevention tool to avoid viral diseases.
