VICECANCILLER INAUGURATES CONVERSATORY ON PROMOTIONS OF PANAMANIAN EXPORTS DIRECTED TO THE FOREIGN SERVICE

Vice Chancellor Dayra Carrizo inaugurated the discussion "Actions to attract Investments and promote exports" organized by the Diplomatic and Consular Academy of the Foreign Ministry, as part of the academic and updating sessions aimed at the Panamanian foreign service.

In her opening remarks, the Vice Minister of Foreign Relations stated that “these constant training sessions are an integral part of the vision and mission of the Foreign Ministry aimed at recovering Panama's international image: to outline the style of Panamanian diplomacy that it experienced in regional and world recognition at different times, privileging multilateralism and international cooperation as suitable instruments for the development of peace ”.

That leadership, he explained, is what inspires this administration to promote the country's competitive advantages, favoring the insertion of Panama in the commercial, financial and political dynamics of the current international architecture, but in accordance with our national interests.

Next, Ambassador Carmen Gisela Vergara, executive director of PROPANAMA, attached to the Foreign Ministry, shared how this agency contributes to economic reactivation and job creation, through the attraction of investments and promotion of exports to the country, a key management against the global challenge put forward by the pandemic. He broke down how Panama promotes investments with social impact, green and digital opportunities.

The day was moderated by Yill Otero, director of international cooperation at the Foreign Ministry.
